FDB Møbler J112 - Lounge Chair - Nordic Swan Ecolabel
The J112 was originally designed by Poul M. Volther in 1971, after which it became widespread in Danish homes. Now FDB Møbler is relaunching this much-loved classic.
J112 is a functional piece of furniture that can be used as an armchair or as a module in a sofa. For an extra comfortable seating experience, it is possible to extend the armchair - or the sofa for that matter - with a stool (to be purchased separately).
Poul M. Volther trained and worked as a cabinetmaker before becoming a furniture architect. He combined his practical knowledge of furniture making with an aesthetic that emphasised simplicity and timelessness.
Nordic Ecolabelling works to reduce the environmental impact from production and consumption of goods with the aid of our logo: the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. This makes it easy for consumers and professional buyers to choose the environmentally best goods and services.

In the early 1940s some young, courageous furniture architects were given the task of developing beautiful, functional furniture at attractive prices. Good furniture design and high quality should not only be reserved for the most prosperous in society. FDB Møbler was established to create the framework for close family values and a democratic community. Now 75 years later the old classics, originally designed by Børge Mogensen, Poul M. Volther and others, are developed from the same principles.
