Nordic Chocolate's micro batch plant is located in Umeå, northern Sweden. Their beans are roasted at low temperatures to maintain antioxidants and preserve the aroma of the cocoa variety.

As flavours, they use local ingredients 

Lakrits: The salty ilquorice comes from the Svenska Lakritsfabriken in Ramlösa. 

Blåbär: The wild blueberries originate from northern Sweden where they are picked and raw food-dried 

The cranberry is a small, tart red berry that grows wild on the marches in northern Sweden.

 

 

Specifications

The cranberries are raw-food dried with no added sugar to preserve their nutritional content and flavor. The acidity is balanced with the sweetness and pleasant astringency from the dark chocolate.

Ingredients: Stone ground cocoa beans, *cane sugar, *cocoa butter, *cranberries from northern Sweden. 


Liquorice: They chop the liquorice by hand in their chocolate factory in Umeå, and manually place one piece into each square. They winnow, roast and stone grind the cocoa beans and pour the chocolate over the liquorice in the molds. Liquorice powder and Icelandic sea salt is then sprinkled over the bar by hand

Ingredients: Stone ground cocoa beans, cane sugar, cocoa butter, liquorice powder, sea salt.
Lakritsfabriken Super Salty (syrup, rice flour, cane sugar, invert sugar, liquorice powder (6%),
salmiak (6%), humectants: sorbitol, salt, anise oil. Glazing agent: carnauba wax,
vegetable oil (coconut oil)


The wild blueberries originate from northern Sweden where they are picked and raw food-dried. They have an unusually high antioxidant content due to growing under the midnight sun in pure nordic nature. Combining these blueberries with the complex aromatic cocoa, creates an intensly flavorful blueberry chocolate.
